Event Recap: Boathouse Tournament of Champions 2018
December 2018 finished off with the National Lacrosse Club Championships in Lake Myrtle, Florida with teams representing most of the major club markets. With 180 teams qualifying to attend, 50 of the very best travelled to Florida bringing over 1,000 champion lacrosse players to compete for National Championship status.
The Champions of the Event
The Boathouse Tournament of Champions crowned Triad Elite, of North Carolina, as the High School Elite Champions. Triad Elite faced the Carolina National team in the championship and emerged victorious beating Carolina National 9 to 6. With the High School Division one of the most competitive, the Championship was anybody’s game until Sunday.
2021 Division
In the 2021 Division, made up of only Sophomore players, the Carolina National team walked away with the Championship title after going undefeated. And the Freshman Division crowned Black Lab Lacrosse the winners after a “hard fought “battle against GA Tiger Elite.
The Youngest Age Groups – Gold & Silver
The youngest age groups were divided on day two into Gold and Silver level Championships. The Canadian Edge team won the 2023 Gold bracket with a win over Team 91 and the GA Tiger Elite won the Silver Division. In the 2025 Division, Stealth Lacrosse beat FCA 3 to 1 taking home the Gold Division Championship, and ThunderLB3 beat 3D Lacrosse in their final game for the Silver Division.
“It was a great weekend for the new branding of a decade long event. Boathouse Sports, provided the official tournament apparel at a much higher level than most events usually see. In addition, their presence at the event showed their commitment to not just the sport of lacrosse, but to their customers. It proved that we could not have picked a better company to partner with.”
